Clear answers to common questions.
Everything you need to know about working with AER Operations — service area, certification, insurance, pricing, turnaround, and deliverables.
Where does AER Operations provide services?
AER Operations is based in Worthington, Ohio and primarily serves Central Ohio and surrounding areas. We also deploy nationally for projects that fit our scope and scheduling. If you're outside Ohio, reach out — we work with clients across the US.
Is AER Operations FAA certified?
Yes. AER Operations holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which is the legal requirement for all commercial drone operations. Every flight is conducted in full compliance with FAA regulations.
Is AER Operations insured?
Yes. AER Operations carries full commercial liability insurance on every flight. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) can be provided for any job upon request — commonly required by property managers, general contractors, and commercial clients.
How does pricing work?
Pricing depends on the service, location, scope, and deliverables required. We publish starting prices on our services page as a reference point, but every project is quoted individually. Submit a quote request and we'll respond with a detailed, itemized quote within 24 hours.
How long does it take to receive deliverables?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours from the date of the flight for most services. Same-day delivery is available for select services — including insurance claim documentation and real estate listings — at an additional fee. Mapping and 3D modeling projects may have longer timelines depending on scope.
What file formats are deliverables provided in?
Photo deliverables are provided as high-resolution JPEGs and optionally RAW files. Video is delivered as edited MP4 files. Mapping outputs include GeoTIFF orthomosaics, point clouds, and PDF reports depending on the project. Specific format requirements can be accommodated — just let us know upfront.
What happens if weather affects the flight?
Flight safety is always the priority. If weather conditions make a flight unsafe or would produce substandard results, we will reschedule at no additional cost. We monitor conditions closely and communicate proactively before your scheduled flight date.
Can AER Operations fly at night?
Yes, with proper authorization. Night operations require specific FAA compliance including anti-collision lighting. Twilight and golden hour flights are available for real estate and media clients. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Can you provide ongoing or recurring service contracts?
Yes. Recurring contracts are available for construction progress monitoring, agriculture crop monitoring, infrastructure inspection, and other services that benefit from scheduled, regular flights. Recurring clients receive preferred pricing and priority scheduling.
Do you work with real estate agents and brokers directly?
Absolutely. Real estate marketing is one of our most in-demand services. We work with individual agents, brokers, and teams on a per-listing or retainer basis. Same-day delivery is available for qualifying listings.
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote request form on our Contact page. Include your project details — service needed, location, timeline, and any specific deliverable requirements. We review every request and respond by email within 24 hours.
